For Sean

I attended my first SCS Tuesday Teapotting Party.  I cannot begin to express the talents of these SCS stampers.  I was very humbled to see their cards for Sean.  He is a young man that is battling testicular cancer.  My heart and prayers go out to him and his friends and family.  This card was made especially for him

Dragon Love

This is one of my favorite SU! sets called "Darling Dragons."  Whenever I get upset at my husband for something, he always jokes and calls me his "fire-y dragon."  I couldn't wait to make this card for him.  Now, I can't wait to give it to him! This is the second Valentine's Day card I've made for this challenge.  I can't wait to get them out to the ladies overseas on Saturday.

Be Mine

For today's SCS Challenge, I submitted my "Be Mine" file folder card that I made for my niece.  I had a lot of fun playing around and readjusting the template.  I also created the file cards with tab inserts for it.  It was a lot of fun and I plan to make more to send out for the wonderful ladies overseas for Valentine's Day.

Tattered Agels - Glimmer Mist

I just completed a card using some glimmer mist by Tattered Angels that I got in the mail today.  It's my first time using glimmer mist and I just LOVE it.  I remember watching a tutorial from a CHA demo.  I decided to put my Cricut Expression to use and made a couple of flourish templates on acetate.  I used re-positionable glue to hold the template in place.  I used Candy Apple Red with a coat of Iridescent Gold on top.  I removed the template and heat-setted it.  I just love the glimmer.  It's one of those moments where you say toyourself, "Uh oh..."  Now, I will have to buy more colors! YIKES!  I am in trouble.  lol

Family Tree

I decided to do a sketch challenge from SCS today.  I have the most fun picking out the colors for my layout.  I go through my scraps box first to use up what I have collected over the year.  BUT, do you ever end up with a huge stock pile of scraps and never seem to use them fast enough?  I have not put a dent in mine.  Here's my card that I just finished.

Family Tree - SC318

My "Spunky" Start

I have been crafting for 6 years.  I started out scrapbooking to use the thousands of family photos I had saved up.  Over the years (and a hundred trips to Michael's later), I fell in love with stamping.  I have always loved to color and create layouts that are unique.  I often get stamper's block (no pun intended) and end up blog hopping for hours.  I KNOW you have done that, too!  LOL I have to try so hard to not get on my laptop (8 inches away from me) because I end up just obsessed with all these wonderful stamp blogs and can't stop looking at images.  Long story short, I have a craftroom FULL of everything a stamper needs and more.  I started a new semester and have made a new year's resolution to put my books down a few hours a day to stamp.  I just miss this.  I miss stamping.  I can't begin to express the joy that I get from creating a simple card for a friend or loved one.  Anyway, I spent about an hour stamping tonight (4 hours on the computer) and made this card.  I am sending it to my sister who lives 2 hours away for Valentine's Day.
